Thank You for Helping us End 2019 Strong!

In November 2019, Living Threads wrote of the need to raise $21,000 to meet our annual budget. What a joy it is to share with you that God raised up financial supporters who donated $17,098 to Living Threads. That means with the $10,000 Match a total of $27,098 was received–we not only reached our goal, but, exceeded it by God’s grace!

It is with hearts of gratitude that we continue to serve those who are grieving the loss of someone they dearly loved and in turn provide for the 600 precious children of the Kibera Slum with life giving support (spiritual and physical).

Children attending the Bible Clubs not only receive physical nourishment, but also the Living Water of Jesus Christ.

A memory quilt from a dear husband/father’s clothing.

Volunteer Love

Come See our Volunteers in Action!

Volunteers and staff at the annual Christmas Gathering which was held in December of 2019..

The Living Threads ministry center is open Monday throughThursday–but–did you know that we have 24 “Stitch’n Sisters” who volunteer here all day on Tuesdays or Thursdays, and sometimes both days? They are a true, close knit sisterhood who support and encourage each other. They are a true blessing to the ministry and the families they serve!

You can see our talented volunteers and staff in action on Tuesdays and Thursdays (except the 2nd week of the month). We’d love to see you – no appointment necessary!

Update: Due to the Coronovirus Pandemic and the Governor’s order Living Threads is currently closed. Once we are no longer “Shelter in Place” we would love to have you visit!

The Tuesday, March 24 Grand Opening will be rescheduled when the Shelter at Home Rule is no longer in effect.

Everyone knows that having the correct tools makes all the difference, right?  In our store you will find unique sewing/quilting tools, gift ideas, one of a kind gadgets, along with everyday necessities for sale here at Living Threads.  For sewing gadgets, Living Threads is the place to go!  For all your fabric needs, please visit your local quilt shops. We look forward to having you visit our store and will be sure to let you know the new date once it is scheduled!

Longarm Quilting Services

A Longarmed Quilt = Mission Support

Living Threads has two longarm machines, four operators and a two week or less turnaround.

Did you know that when you bring your quilt to Living Threads to be longarm quilted you are actually supporting missions at the same time?

You are helping Living Threads to continue to serve grieving families and the children who live in the Kibera Slum.

Due to the Shelter at Home order we can’t take your orders for longarm quilts right now, but we are eager to begin longarm quilting for you as soon as the order is lifted.
